Horticulture (S3-S6)

The NPA in Horticulture at SCQF level 4 introduces young people to techniques that are important in the horticulture sector and covers areas such as allotment gardening and plant propagation.

It develops: knowledge and understanding of horticulture; practical, technical and transferable skills; oral, written and evaluation abilities; resource management; problem solving and planning; and organisational and communication skills.

This programme would be suitable for those who have a keen interest in working outdoors and for those who have completed Rural Skills (N4) and wish to progress onto a similar programme to further their understanding of this sector.
