Our Construction provision is divided into three different strands.  These are listed below with a brief outline of what each programme covers.

-Secondary Engineering This six month program offers an introduction to fluid power including hydraulics and pneumatical engineering.

-Construction Craft Steps to Work This six month program offers an insight into working within the construction industry allowing the young people an introduction taster by completing modules such as Roof Tiling and Bench Joinery Skills

-Construction Crafts This one year program offers a more in depth look at the construction Industry incorporating a greater variety of modules which include; Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Brick Laying, Electrical Installation and Plumbing Installation.

Qualifications/Awards Achieved

The young people engaging with the Construction Crafts and Construction Crafts Step to Work programmes could receive a National 4 SQA Award on completion.

 

Progression Routes

These courses take a natural progression that can lead to opportunities within the construction industry, such as apprenticeships and employment.
